Srisailem : is situated to about 232 Kms south of Hyderabad & on the banks of river krishna is Srisailem which belongs to Kurnool district. This temple is dedicated to load Sri Mallikarjuna swamy and his consort bharamaramba. The lingam present here is said to be one among the 12 Jyotirlingams in the country.
This temple has histories associated with chalukya kingdom, Krishnadevaraya of Vijayanagra & Chatrapati shivaji with Adi Shankaracharya & Buddhist pilgrims. Both Hindus & Buddhists consider this as their sacred place.
