National park situated on the ourskirts of Bangalore
is just 22kms from the city and is 104 Sq Kms in area. This
is just like any other zoo which consists of wild animals
like lion, tiger,bear, gorilla, deers etc. The major attraction
of this park is the safari where you are taken for a ride
to see the lions and tigers.
This park is open from 9:00 am
to 5:00 pm on all days except Tuesday which is a weekly off.
There is also an elephant ride available for children. It
is a real treat for all children.

- The first week of October each year is celebrated as the Wildlife Week to spread public awareness about the need to save our precious flora and fauna. The Karnataka state forest department, in coordination with various nature clubs and organizations, arranges a wide range of programs for nature enthusiasts through out the week.
How to reach Bannerghatta National Park
From Kempagowda Bus Station take BMTC Bus Nos. 365, J365 or V365.
From Brigade Road you can take BMTC Bus No. G4.
From Shivajinagar BMTC Bus Nos.368, 365C ply to Bannerghatta.
From Shanthinagar you can take BMTC Bus Nos. 365S and 365L to the National Park.
