Biligiriranga Hills (B R Hills) Wildlife Sanctuary
B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is located in northernmost tip of the Nilgiris, connecting the Eastern & Western Ghats in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka. It is located at a distance of 182 Kms from Bangalore & 80 Kms from Mysore.
B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected reserve under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 also B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in December 2010.
The commonly sighted animals are leopard, elephant, tiger, gaur, wild dog, sloth bear, barking deer, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, porcupine, python, Malabar giant squirrel, to name a few.
More than 270 species of birds exist here, including the scarlet minivet, velvet-fronted nuthatch, gold-fronted chloropsis, lorikeet, blossom-headed parakeet, heart-spotted woodpecker and malabar whistling thrush among numerous others, making it an Ornithologist's delight.

By Road
From Kadamba Bus stand across the Patto / Qurrent creek 7-8 minutes walk at the entrance of the city on the bank of Mandvi River, from where regular buses ply to the sanctuary.
