Vasco da Gama the biggest & most popukus city of goa is known for its busiest Mormugao port bulit in 1888 AD. Vasco is situated at a distance of 29 kms from Panjim, overlooking the mouth of the Zuari River.

This City has got its name from Vasco Da Gama who was a well known Portuguese sailor. Originally Vasco da Gama was founded by Portuguese during their rule in Goa in the year 1543.
