The westernmost state situated in western Indian costal which has the longest costal line of about 1290 kms. This state is known as "Jewel of the West" for its Beaches, holy temples etc. Gandhi Nagar being the captial city the state & the language Gujarati the official language.
The State is bounded by Rajasthan State in the North, Arabian sea west, Madhya Pradesh to the south, Pakistan to north-west & Maharashtra by south-east .The State is divided into 25 Districts.

Surat - The second largest city of Gujarat situated on banks of Tapi river. The is famous for its textile & diamond businesses
Vadodara - Formely known as 'Baroda' is the third largest city.
