The state situated in North India was formed in 1966 which was carved out from punjab. The state has an history of 5000 years. Chandigarh being the captial city the state & the language Punjabi the official language.
The State is bounded by Himachal Pradesh State in the North, Punjab by west, Rajasthan to the south & Uttar Pradesh by east. The State is divided into 20 Districts.

Chandigarh - The city named after the goddess pf power chandi devi a well palnned modern city designed by french architect.
Gurgoun - a major industrial area which has the top manufacturing plant like maruthi udyog etc is now into IT sector also.
Faridabad - Founded in 1607 AD by Shaikh Farid, treasurer of Jahangir, famous for Heena Production on agriculture sector while tractors, motorcycles, switch gears, refrigerators, shoes and tyres are other famous industrial products.
