The State is known for its beautiful mountains & valleys. Jammu & kashmir is divided into three major divisions Jammu, Kashmir & ladakh. Srinagar is the summer (May-October) capital and Jammu its winter (Novemenber-April) capital of the state.

The State is bounded by China in the North, Pakistan to west, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the south & China by east. The State is divided into 14 Districts.

Jammu - Jammu is situated on a hillock, on the bank of river Tawi & also the Railhead of the state is winter capital for the state
Srinagar - Srinagar the summer capital for the state is famous for its lakes,gardens & houseboats.
ladakh - The place which is bounded by Himlayas and karakoram gets its beauty for the landscape, valley etc.

How to reach Jammu & Kashmir

Air transport 
This state has three important airports thru which one can reach jammu & Kashmir( Srinagar, Jammu and Leh). which is well connected to major cities in north.

Rail transport 
The most important station is jammu tawi which is well connected with major cities in india opreated by Indian Railways.

Road transport 
This state has good road network which connects to Delhi, Jalandar, Amristar, Shimla, Chandigarh etc.
