About Madhya Pradesh
The State is located in center of India. It was the largest state of india before when this state was splited and a new state Chhattisgarh was formed out of it in november 2000. Bhopal being the captial city for Madhya pradesh & the language Hindi the official language.
The State is bounded by Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh in the south, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the north, Chhattisgarh in the east and Gujarat in the west. The state is divided in to 48 Districts.

Major Cities of Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal - Bhopal is the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal is known as the city of lakes for its various natural & artifical lakes present here.
Dewas - Dewas is an ancient town situated on the Malwa plateau in the West central part of Madhya Pradesh.
Gwalior - The site of factories producing cotton, yarn, paint, ceramics, chemicals, and leather products.
Indore - Indore is the largest city in Madhya Pradesh state. It is the commercial capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Jabalpur - Jabalpur is the third largest city in Madhya Pradesh. Jabalpur is known for its picturesque marble rock formations (Bhedaghat) across the banks of the river Narmada.
Ratlam -Ratlam was once one of the first Commercial Towns in Central India being the centre of an extensive trade in opium, tobacco and salt. It was also famous in Malwa for its bargains called Sattas.
Sagar - It is known in all over India due to its University named as Dr. Harisingh Gaur University and Army Cantonment and recently it has come into lime light due to Bhagyodyay Tirth a charitable hospital named after a Jain Sant Shri VidyaSagarji Maharaj.
Ujjain - It is a very holy city for the Hindus, a site for the triennial Kumbh mela.
