About Tripura

One of the State is located in North East of India. The Name Tripura orginated from Tuipra (the land adjoining water) this state was formely an independent kingdom which was merged with india on 15th October 1949. Agartala being the captial city for Tripura & the language Kakborak(Tripuri) the official language.

The State is bounded by Bangladesh in the North, west & south and Tripura and Mizoram to its east. The State is divided in to 4 Districts.
