About West Bengal
The State present in eastern Indian border. Bengal was reformed in 1947 spliting into West Bengal state and new country Bangaldesh which was aslo known as east pakistan. Kolkata(calcutta) being the captial city for West Bengal & the language Bengali the official language.
The State is bounded by Assam and Sikkim to northeast, the state of Orissa to southwest, Jharkhand and Bihar to the west and Nepal to the northwest. The State is divided in to 18 Districts.
