The gateway in the northen eastern part of india is rich with greenery with dense forest. Assam is known for Tea leaves, Silk products, petroleum & for its rare plants and animals.

The State is bounded by Arunachal pradesh State in the North, Meghalaya & bangladesh to the west, Tripura to the soutwest, mizoram to souteast & nagaland and manipur to east. The State is divided in to 27 Districts spreading to about 78,438 sq km.

Dispur - The capital city of Assam & known for its largest tea production.
Guwahati - Situated on banks of river Brahmaputra is the largest hub for commercial, industrial and educational center.
Air transport
Guwahati is the main airport to enter assam. Serviced by all the domestic airlines of India, Guwahati has connections to Delhi, Mumbai, Udaipur, Kolkata and few more cities in India. Other major airports are in Udaipur and Jodhpur.
