Biligiri Rangana Hills (B R Hills)

Is Located in Biligirirangana range of hills is about 90 Kms from Mysore & 203 Kms From Bangalore is situated at an height of 5091 Ft Above the sea level. The Billigiri Rangana hills are ideally located between the Cauvery and Kapila rivers. These hills are famous for the ancient temple on top of the hills. 

The Temple here in the hill is dedicated to lord Biligiri Rangaswamy is built in Dravidian style of architecture. One can reach the temple by climbing 150 Steps laid out there or can drive by road through the lush green forest.

Accomadation are avialable at the guesthouse maintained by the temple authorities.

The wildlife sanctuary here covers an area of about 550 sq.kms has more than 200 Species of birds & inhabited by a number of animals including elephants, sloth bears, bison, deer, porcupines & other wild animals.

By Rail : Nearest Railhead is Mysore about 90 Kms
By Road : KSRTC buses connect BR Hills with other cities in and around. Regular transport public buses are available from B R hills to Mysore, Chamarajnagar, Kollegal and Kanakapura.
